This is the privacy statement of Arsenaal 1824 B.V. (KVK: 64785971). This privacy statement applies to all our guests, suppliers, website visitors and job applicants. In this privacy statement we give you an insight into how Arsenaal 1824 handles the processing of your personal data.
First and foremost, Arsenaal 1824 values your privacy and therefore treats your personal data confidentially and carefully. Personal data are processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation.

When you make a reservation
You can make a reservation at our grand café and restaurant online, by e-mail or by phone. When making a reservation, we process your name, e-mail address and telephone number. If you have special dietary requirements, allergies, or other comments, we also record those details. If you need to make a down payment, we process your payment and invoice details.
When you have signed up for our newsletter
You can subscribe to our newsletter on our website and when making a reservation. In that case, we register your first name, surname and e-mail address. There is a link at the bottom of each newsletter that allows you to unsubscribe from receiving the newsletter at any time.
When you visit our grand café or restaurant
If we agree with you that you do not pay our bill when you leave our grand café or restaurant, but at a later time, we record data so that we can identify you and send you an invoice. Incidentally, this method of payment is only possible if we have agreed this with you. The details we register in such a case are: your first name, surname, e-mail address, telephone number, address/postcode, and other payment and invoice details.
Arsenaal 1824 uses cameras in the interests of the safety of its staff and visitors, as well as to prevent theft of its property. These cameras are identifiable as such and are located in the corridors, at the front door and near the cash registers.
When you are our supplier or when you place an order in our webshop
We may also process personal data from our suppliers. The same applies if you place an order in our webshop. In both cases, we process the following data, among others: first name, last name, e-mail address, telephone number, address/postal code, place of residence/location and payment and billing information.
When you apply for a job with us
If you apply for a job at Arsenaal 1824, your first name, surname, address/postcode, place of residence/establishment, telephone number, e-mail address and curriculum vitae (CV), among others, are collected.
When you visit our website

Base of processing personal data

Keeping period

Camera images are kept for a maximum of four weeks.
Receivers of your data
Your personal data may be provided by us to the following categories of recipients:

- The Rocket Science Group, LLC, in connection with our use of Mailchimp, an email marketing service for our newsletters;
- Zenchef, in connection with the use of a reservation module from Formitable and the technical support thereof.
A processing agreement is concluded with the third party that processes your personal data on behalf of and on the instructions of Arsenaal 1824, as a result of which that third party is also obliged to comply with the privacy legislation.
Third parties engaged by Arsenaal 1824, who offer services as processors, are themselves responsible for compliance with privacy legislation for the (further) processing of your personal data.
Transfers to other countries
Your personal data will not be transferred to countries outside the EU or EEA. An exception applies to the recipients Google Inc. and The Rocket Science Group LLC. mentioned above, now that these companies are located in the United States. Both companies have registered with the EU-US Privacy Shield Framework (www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework), ensuring your privacy.
Your rights
Resistance
You may object to the use of your personal data for direct marketing purposes, without having to provide a reason, free of charge, by sending an e-mail to info@arsenaal1824.nl. Arsenaal 1824 will terminate the use upon the first request.
In all other cases, due to special personal circumstances, you may object to the processing by sending an e-mail to info@arsenaal1824.nl. Within four weeks of receiving the objection, Arsenaal 1824 will assess whether the objection is justified. If so, Arsenaal 1824 will terminate the processing.
Correction, inspection, deletion, restriction and data portability
Furthermore, you have the right to correct your personal data:
- to rectify
- to access;
- to erase, and;
- to transfer.
You can also limit the processing of your personal data and have the right not to be subjected to automated decision-making.
If you wish to exercise the aforementioned rights, please send an e-mail to info@arsenaal1824.nl. Arsenaal 1824 will inform you within four weeks by e-mail to what extent it can comply with the request in question. Finally, we inform you that you have the right to lodge a complaint about our processing of your personal data with the Personal Data Authority, if your complaint has not been or is not dealt with by us to your satisfaction.
